This was the Hollywood Music Workshop 2016:<\/span><\/p>\n

A Film Scoring Summer Academy with Hollywood\u2019s Elite<\/span>
\nThis year has been bigger then ever with nine different masterclasses offered over a period of five weeks that could be booked individually or as a whole.<\/span><\/p>\n

We were happy to introduce our new and amazing line-up of top Hollywood composers, orchestrators and arrangers to this year\u2019s participants. Our workshop has been incredibly successful over the past 7 years and we have been able to grow into this excellent summer film music academy. This again has been one of a kind opportunity to work and study with some of Hollywood\u2019s greatest film music talents in the wonderful ambience of the beautiful City of Baden. Composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss and Lanner performed in this historic Spa Town near Vienna. Starting from composing, orchestration and arrangement through recording with a real string orchestra on the new Synchron Stage Vienna to final mixing. Our participants could learn the entire film scoring process gaining real-world knowledge delivered by some of Hollywood\u2019s best.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\u2022 July 18: Conrad Pope & Joe Kraemer \u2013 Star Wars \u2013 Scoring a Saga. Join film composer and orchestrator Conrad Pope and film composer Joe Kraemer and\u00a0 for an in-depth analysis of John Williams\u2019 music for the Star Wars saga.<\/span>
\n\u2022 July 19 \u2013 25: Joe Kraemer \u2013 From Concept to Composition.\u00a0 Learn the conceptual and composing aspects of creating music for film. And finally, what is needed to get your composition recorded. Classes will include behind-the-scenes looks at the scoring of Mission: Impossible \u2013 Rogue Nation and Jack Reacher. Presented by Joe Kraemer, a world class film composer (Mission Impossible \u2013 Rogue Nation).<\/span>
\n\u2022 July 26 \u2013 July 29: Recording at the Synchron Stage in Vienna. German born Silke Matzpohl, a successful TV\u00a0 composer and music editor, will help to prepare for the recordings. Frankie Chinasky, a well known sound engineer and music producer, will make sure that your take will be recorded professionally \u2013 using world class equipment at the soundstage.<\/span>
\n\u2022 July 30 \u2013 August 1: Dennis Sands \u2013 Mixing for Composers and Musicians. Learn to turn your recordings and demos into professional sounding mixes. Brought to you by Dennis Sands, one of the world\u2019s best film scoring mixing engineers. Dennis will deliver his class in the control room of the Synchron Stage in Vienna \u2013 one of the best recording stages in the world \u2013 demonstrating his techniques using the latest state of the art equipment.<\/span>
\n\u2022 August 6 \u2013 8: Chris Walden \u2013 Arranging for Big Bands and for Strings in Pop Music. Learn from Chris Walden, a German born world class composer and arranger, who will also share how his career started in Europe and how he very successfully established himself in Hollywood.<\/span>
